Entrepreneur Henry Coffie is a talented personality who resides in Philadelphia, USA. A Fashion Designer by profession, Henry Coffie is the Founder of Henry Couture Paris, a luxurious brand in men’s fashion wear. It is a men’s formal wear store. The fashion store mainly deals with classic tuxedos, wedding collection, shirts, shoes and other accessories.
Born in the Ashanti Tribe of Ghana in Africa, he completed his middle school and high school education from Datus Tema and West Africa Secondary School by 2001 respectively. Then he relocated to France to live with his mother who has been a hairdresser for past 15 years in France. At first he assisted his mother in her work but later he sought his mind firm in pursuing his goals.
He has the passion for fashion wear and designing but with no contacts from the fashion industry, a career in it was difficult. He had to face a lot of struggle facing several rejections from many places and even money shortage was a hindrance to his path. Without any hesitation, he did several jobs and was working even harder this time to get into the fashion industry. While in Paris, he worked as an internee in a suit store, Yves Dorsey and then with a men’s wear store, 3eme Stella Rosso which built his innate interest in men’s fashion wear and designing suits. With utter patience and eagerness to learn more, he believed in himself that he could set his imprints in fashion designing.
It was in 2017 when Henry, after gaining some experience, finally moved to Philadelphia in America to pursue his dream of becoming a Fashion Designer and top it. He launched his first store in May, 2017. With an ambition to be a top class Fashion Designer, he started assembling his client’s portfolio first and then began connecting with local designers of the city to have an insight of the fashion industry of the US better. His store offers a variety of suits whose designs were made keeping the European suit style in mind. Also it has a wide collection of unique style wear and fittings ranging from standard, slim to custom. The store boasts in its collection of clothing which gives a polished and finished look making an individual look classy in the suit.
Henry’s years of excellence have gained him many awards and fame to his store. Henry received the ‘Award of Excellence’ (April 2018) by The Fashion 500 in New York City and has also been honored as ‘the Fashion Designer 2019 Upper Darby Philadelphia Award’. His brand based in Philadelphia, ‘Henry Couture Paris’ has acquired the most prestigious, ‘Business Hall of Fame’ for two consecutive years 2019 and 2020 presented by Upper Darby Award Program in the Fashion Designer category.
Hailing from a black country in Africa, Entrepreneur Henry Coffie had to undergo a lot of hardships from one continent to the other. The relocation from Africa to Europe to make a base for his career and the shifting from France to America to professionally establish his brand was a roller-coaster for him. But he was so motivated that he brilliantly surpassed all the obstacles and is a successful fashion designer and creative director based in the US.
